Where to Stay in Hawaii - Sheraton Kauai, Kauai, Hawaii

People say, when something is too good to be true, it usually is. Well, Kauai is definitely an exception of that. The beauty of this island is just beyond words. I have heard from people raving about Kauai for years, but in fact it is much more beautiful than I expected.

During our second part of the trip in Kauai, we had the pleasure of staying with Sheraton Kauai. One of the main reasons we chose here is because of its prime location-right on the beautiful Poipu Beach. For those who don’t know, Poipu Beach is rated one of the best beaches in the US. It is a series of golden sand crescents, strung together where beach-goers will find snorkeling, swimming, a natural ocean wading pool, boogie-boarding and surfing. You can watch the most sunrises and sunsets right on this beach like we did (or from your room if you have an ocean view room).

And then there is the food. Both “RumFire” and “Lava” have fantastic Hawaiian food with global influences. I highly recommend you rent a cabana by the pool or on the beach and order lunch from Lava, so you don’t have to leave the pool or the beach). And then in the evening, reserve a table facing the west by the window, so you can enjoy your dinner with an epic view to sunset. A couple of my favorite dishes are Lemongrass & Lime Thai Soup and Waffle as dessert. If you would like to connect with Kauai’s rich history, culture and culinary traditions, then an oceanfront Luau dinner is a must-attend event.

Really wish we had longer time to explore Kauai next time and enjoy the resort a bit more. If you are on the island sometime, I definitely recommend you to check Sheraton Kauai out!
