Where to Stay in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - The Venetian Resort
Viva Las Vegas! Can’t tell you how excited we are to finally visit this legendary city! What made it more special is that we are invited as guests of the one and only The Venetian Resort , one of the most beautiful and famed resorts in Vegas.
I found Vegas fasinating not for its massive casinos, but for its beyond-the-imagination establishments and its influence in pop culture. It opens up so many numerous unconventional adventures that are not readily available in other places. People seem to want to let loose and do things they don’t normally do. “Whatever happened in Vegas stays in Vegas”, right? Well, in our case, our adventure in the city was rather a luxury and culinary one.
As soon as we arrived the airport, my daughter and I got picked up by a limo organized by The Venetian Resort . A private, long limo with various drinks, just like those we have seen in the movies. We felt like a VIP already. On our way to The Venetian Resort , our knowledgable driver Ben, a Californian native, gave us an insider tour about the city and all the buildings along the Strip (the main street in Vegas). Everything seems just so grand here!
As we walked into The Palazzo at The Venetian, the sister hotel of The Venetian Resort , where we will be staying for the next two nights, we couldn’t believe what we were seeing. The resort is so huge and beautiful, way more impressive than what we have imagined. We were guided to check into our spacious suite via the VIP check-in and found a big surprise was waiting for us. As we opened the door to our suite (Yes, they only offer suites here at The Venetian Resort and the The Palazzo at The Venetian!!!), we saw many balloons including the number one and zero and a super cute and beautiful unicorn cake. My little girl was beyond excited. It totally made her day! After we unpacked our luggages, we set out to explore the resort. Both The Venetian Resort and The Palazzo at The Venetian are just massive. You could spend hours there just explore them all. We were so impressed by the indoor interiors of the Venetian Halls, street shops and indoor & outdoor canals. Of course, we had to try their Gondola Ride, which was a very fun experience.
One of the main reasons that I really want to The Venetian Resort is because of their amazing selection of restaurants and I was not disappointed. It is very obvious that the resorts put a lot of efforts into developing the best culinary experiences for its guests. There are so many choices here, Italian, Chinese, American, Japanese, and many more. All I wish is that we could stay longer to try them all. Here are some of favorites:
This is probably our favorite restaurant in the resorts. A uber-chic Dim Sum restaurant. The name “Mott 32” is referring to the 32 Mott Street in New Year, which was the cit’s first Chinese convenience store opened in 1891. It was the center piece where Chinatown in NY started to grow. Located on the casino floor on the The Palazzo resort, Mott 32 is a celebration of Hong Kong culture and culinary tradition. Since opening, it has become one of the most awarded restaurants in Hong Kong.
The dishes there are authentic and innovative at the same time, packed with colors and flavors. and beautifully plated. The interiors are absolutely fabulous. There are different sections in the restaurant, which provide various atmospheres for the guests. The service was amazing, too.
Another beautiful restaurant in the the Venetian Resort. Crafted by the celebrity Latina chef Lorena Garcia, the diverse menus offers Latin American cuisine with influences from Venezuela, Peru, Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina, among many more. EVERY dish pops with flavors and textures that make them stand out. Something as simple as a guacamole bowl comes out with exceptional accompaniments. Roasted sweet potatoes is delicious. The grilled octopus is phenomenal. Even a rotisserie half chicken is anything but ordinary with a chimichuri sauce on it that is to die for. The mixed grill was the perfect dish to share. And for dessert, you must try the Churro Tower, which will make your dinner finish on the high.
Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer
You can’t visit visit Vegas without visiting at least once Black Tap to get its craft burgers and the famous CrazyShake milkshakes. With decor that mirrors the old school hip hop and pop, Black Tap has a menu that provides the best American dining experience. You can find the best burgers in town (they even have vegan options!!!) with the most vibrant and over-the-top milkshakes you can find on this planet.
This place is amazing for breakfast! Directly out of the oven bread and pastries, freshly pressed orange juice, and homemade butter and jams will be brought to you in a beautiful French Bistro setting. This celebrated establishment was from Thomas Keller, who was named “America’s Best Chef” by Time Magazine. He is a chef whose French cuisine has won almost every award possible: Michelin stars, James Beard Foundation, and what Anthony Bourdain called “the best restaurant, ever.” I can certainly assure you that our breakfast was really excellent!
I just love how uncomplicated and good this restaurant is. Great Italian food with locally sourced seasonal ingredients. Just like what they do in Italy! We had pancakes, which were really delicioius!
There are many more other restaurants that we wished to visit, such as Tao Asian Bistro, Hong Kong Cafe, SugarCane Raw Bar Grill, Sushisamba, and etc. Well, they will definitely be our list for next time!
