Where to Stay in South Lake Tahoe - Coachman Hotel
Finally, it is time for some fun in the snow!!! South Lake Tahoe is our favorite ski resort in California, especially the Heavenly Mountain Resort with its many ski terrains as well as the spectacular view of the lake. Whenever we come to the area, we always stay at the newly renovated Coachman Hotel, which is just blocks away from Lake Tahoe and Heavenly Mountain Resort (this is a huge bonus point, since parking nearby the resort is like a mission impossible!).
Coachman Hotel is actually a modernly redesigned motel, which has stylish yet practical rooms that furnished by beautiful pieces from designers like Stephen Kenn, Brendan Sowerby, Jason Pickens and etc. The interiors consist of warm wood, piles of cozy blankets, vintage rugs and contemporary fixtures that make you feel more like you are at staying at a friend's house (with impeccable taste) instead of a hotel. In the mornings, they offer freshly made coffee, waffles, eggs, orange juices, and more to help you to get your day started. In the evenings, you can gather around the fire pit with your beers, wines, hot chocolate, and complementary S'More kits and recall the memories of your day out in the wild.
And some additional small yet huge beneficial features of the rooms: pet-friendly, Apple TV, Malin + Goetz bath products (they smell divine!), heated toilet seats (very important in colder months!).
Overall, we absolutely loved staying at Coachman Hotel and can't wait to go back for more ski trips as well as summer weekend getaways.
